In episode two, step inside Blairgowrie & Rattray’s The Dome, a landmark Italian-style café dating back to 1905. we’ll meet the new owners who took a leap of faith during the pandemic to save this B-listed building, preserving its original 1920s architecture and the magical sense of community that has hosted generations of local families.
Can we help the creative pulse of Blairgowrie & Rattray to survive for another generation by exploring the art of Silversmithing? In episode three, we explore the art of jewelry designed to endure for generations—a testament to the love and care that goes into things that are made by hand. For every pound we all spend at local, small, independently run shops is a pound that stays in our community.
Beyond the festive lights, this short film shines a light on the magic of collaboration in Blairgowrie & Rattray. From the volunteer-led decorations to the local shops dressing their windows, the film highlights how collective action sustains the town’s vibrant social fabric during the holidays, encouraging us all to appreciate the “everyday magic” of our own surroundings and the human connections that make a town a home.
